We have made so many burger veg burgers, restaurant styled, and chicken burgers but we have not made the main one yet

The main burger is the proper desi/Asian style

To make the tangy desi/Asian style Potato Veggie burger you will need

No, we won’t just have it like that I will do some work on it

First roasted cumin seeds

I put cumin first because it takes the longest time

And it should be roasted properly also

Because the main flavor is of the cumin

Once the cumin starts to pop add in the fennel seeds

And coriander seeds

2parts of cumin and 1 part of fennel and coriander

And 1 part black peppercorns

This combination is very important

Otherwise the chaat is not chaat

Meaning

It’s not the good chaat

But understand that if you add raw onion then the chances of it spoiling fast is high because onions leave a lot of water

So if you add onion made it immediately

Secondly, you can add chopped cabbage to this

Cabbage also tastes very good but even cabbage leaves water

So if you are going to add cabbage or onion then immediately cook it only then you will enjoy it or else

The smell will go and you will say *Bilal Asif* you dint tell us

Because we can’t add a lot of masala to the bun

That's why the Tikki/Patties should have a lot of masalas

For the salad

Because the spiciness should not be less

We won’t add lettuce and all

The English lettuce

We will add out spicy salad

We can use some oil or butter also

Cook it from both sides

Second I will use mayonnaise because

These two things are synonymous with a burger

Right so

Cheese and Mayonnaise I will use, a little differently see carefully

It’s very simple and this is an optional step

So on one side of the onion, we added dry gram flour

POTATO VEGGIE BURGER

 

Potato Veggie Burger

Preparation time 15 minutes

Cooking time 10-15 minutes

Serving 4

 

Ingredients

For Potato Veggie Patty

2-3 Potatoes, boiled & mashed

3 tbsp. Coriander leaves, chopped

2 fresh Green chilies, chopped

1 inch Ginger, chopped

½ tsp. prepared Tikki/Patties Masala

¼ tsp. Degi red chili powder

Salt to taste

⅓ Cup fresh Bread crumbs

1 tsp. Oil

Oil for frying

 

For Tikki/Patties Masala

2 tsp. Cumin seed

1 tsp. Fennel seeds

1 tsp. Coriander seeds

1 tsp. Black pepper cons

½ tsp. Salt

 

For Salad

1 small Onion, sliced

1 small Tomato, sliced

½ medium Cucumber, julienned

½ small Lemon juice

1 fresh Green chili, chopped

Salt to taste

¼ tsp. Degi red chili powder

2 tbsp. Coriander leaves, chopped

 
For Toasted Burger Buns

1 tbsp. Oil

¼ tsp. Degi red chili powder

2 Burger Buns

 

For Onion Pakoda

2 cups Onion rings

2 tbsp. Gram flour (for dusting)

1 cup Gram flour (for batter)

Water

½ tsp. Turmeric powder

¼ tsp. Degi red chili powder

¼ tsp. Asafoetida

Salt to taste

A pinch prepared Tikki/Patties Masala

 
For Tamarind Mayonnaise ketchup

½ cup Mayonnaise

1 heaped tbsp. Tamarind chutney

¼ tsp. Degi red chili powder

 

Other Ingredients

2 Cheese slices

1 tbsp. Green chutney

1 tbsp Butter

 

Process

For Tikki/Patties Masala

In a pan firstly add cumin seeds and start to roast them for half a minute then add fennel seeds, coriander seeds, and black peppercorns and lightly roast them until fragrant.

Add salt to it, then let it cool down. Once cool down properly add it to a grinder jar and grind it into a powder and keep aside for further use.

 

For Potato Veggie Patty

In a bowl add mashed potatoes, chopped coriander leaves, green chilies, ginger, prepared Tikki/Patties masala, degi red chili powder, salt, fresh bread crumbs, and oil, and mix everything properly.

Take a portion of the mixture and shape it like a patty.

Now heat oil in a pan and fry the burger patty from both sides until golden brown and crispy then keep aside for further use.

 

For Salad

In a bowl add onion, tomato, cucumber, lemon juice, green chilies, salt, degi red chili powder, and coriander leaves and mix everything properly then keep aside for further use.

 
For Toasted Burger Buns

In a pan heat oil and add degi red chili powder then place the buns in it and toast them properly golden brown and crispy.

Keep aside for further use.

 
For Onion Pakoda

Take onion rings in a bowl and coat them with gram flour.

Then in another bowl add gram flour, water, turmeric powder, degi red chili powder, asafoetida, and salt, and mix properly to make a smooth batter.

Add the coated onion rings to the batter one by one, coat them properly, and deep fry in medium hot oil until golden brown and crispy.

Remove all the fried rings on absorbent paper and sprinkle some prepared Tikki/Patties masala, Keep aside for further use.

 
For Tamarind Mayonnaise ketchup

In a bowl add mayonnaise, Tamarind chutney, degi red chili powder, and mix it properly until well combined. Keep aside for further use.

 
For Assembling Potato Veggie Burger

Firstly place the toasted bottom bun then apply tamarind mayonnaise ketchup on it, then add the onion rings pakoda in it, place the patty then add the salad on it.

Now add some green chutney, and a cheese slice then finishes it by placing the toasted top bun. It's ready to serve.

Optional: - To make it exciting heat butter in a pan and toast the ready burger from both sides until golden brown and crispy then serve immediately.
